Just a Note

I love it when a design inspires me to make something I feel is even better.   That's the case here.  It was simply a color-blocked card in a magazine.  Nothing special.  But for some reason one thought popped into my head:  PIANO!  Make it a piano!  So I did.

First I made it as a possible birthday card for my brother, John.  Didn't send it though, because I had another special "brother" one I'd made that seemed just right for now, so maybe I'll save this for next year...or for my nephew's birthday this fall.  He's loving the piano right now.

Then I got to thinking of this "just a note" from a stamp set I've got.  Perfect!

I like this version even better.
